Wi-Fi 7: what actually changes for businesses

January 15, 2026

Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) introduces Multi-Link Operation, which lets a device use several frequency bands at once to reduce latency and improve the reliability of critical connections.

For dense environments — warehouses, factories, campuses — the wider 320 MHz channels and 4096-QAM modulation translate into significantly higher potential throughput, provided the underlying RF design is built for these new capabilities.

Migrating to Wi-Fi 7 isn't just a hardware change: it requires reassessing the site survey, access point density, and channel planning to avoid interference and fully capture the performance gains.
